The sex toy collection is an attempt to remove the shamefull connotations that often come with sex toys, by making them more widely accessible as self care objects.
This collection strives to turn sex toys into something that we’re not ashamed of. Objects that we can stand by and even display in our home. By rethinking the aesthetics of sex toys, I have blurred the line between sex toys, self care and even interior decoration. With a collection of beautiful objects in coloured glas, stored in equally beautiful containers, I hope to have created a collection that changes our view on sex toys, sexuality and selfcare.
The collection is designed without any ties or references to the aesthetics of traditional sex toys. My inspiration comes from classic perfume flacons: their beautiful, diverse shapes as well as the luxurious and selfcaring connotations they represent. By doing this, I place the sex toys in a new realm of association, which changes our perception of them.
